“...how many person-years UHC has taken from patients and their families through denials. ...has to be on the order of millions. His death won’t make that better, but it’s hard for me to sympathize when so many people have suffered because of his company.”-a doctor who worked with United under Thompson

“I would be happy to help look for the shooter but vision isn’t covered under my healthcare plan,” one comment read on Instagram.

“Thoughts and prior authorizations!” wrote another user.

"Millions" of person-years lost, chiefly because of the one man who was in charge and enforced draconian coverage denials with an algorithm that had a 90% error rate. As the doc in the title said "hard to sympathize" with the murder of such a man.

Is that not euphemism, though? Nobody really wants to say, in effect, "Ding dong, the witch is dead," but damn, they have! Doctors, too!

"His death won't make that better". That's squishy too. How can you say that? Maybe it will! This is the mother of all wake up calls for by all accounts one of the most cruel killing machines in American Corporation Nation.

At this point we drag out our favorite historical villains, Uncle Alf, Uncle Joe, Chairman Mao, Pol Pot. How many millions of "person years" did they take from innocents? Who wishes the von Stauffenberg plot on Uncle Alf had succeeded? "Who didn't want HIM dead?" So Google may block me for writing this, but I have to be honest, I'm glad Brian Thompson was murdered. You gonna block me for writing that, Google? I also wish von Stuffenberg had murdered Hits. There. Google, I gave you a two-fer to block me. Go ahead, do what you gotta do. America is a very slightly better country for Brian Thompson being among the unliving.
