Ernest Hemingway had a thing for the name "Catherine"; Catherine Bourne in one of the last, published after his suicide, novels he ever wrote, The Garden of Eden; Catherine Barkley in one of his earliest, written when he was 30 of his experiences when he was 19.  This isn't Chinese, there are a lot of fucking female names in the English language. He chose "Catherine" for two immensely important characters. Did the initials "CB" also mean something to him?
