Miami "Dolphins" Fire Mike McDaniel, Will Target John Harbaugh

This is a near replay of the "Dolphins" hiring of Don Shula from Baltimore "Colts" 56 years ago; a near replay of the Miami "Heat" hiring Pat Riley from the New York "Knicks" in 1995. In both of those previous cases the new Miami coach was under contract to his previous team. In both cases the leagues awarded the jilted franchise a first round draft pick. That is not the case with John Harbaugh, if the "Dolphins" hire him. Harbaugh was fired by the Baltimore "Ravens" on Jan. 6.

Baltimore "Ravens": John Harbaugh

In leading the Ravens for 18 seasons, he was the second-longest active tenured coach in the league behind Mike Tomlin, who finished his 19th season with the Steelers.

Tomlin would have been fired had Pit. lost at home to Bal.

The Ravens have become one of the most stable franchises since relocating from Cleveland in 1996.
