The English Premier League season got underway this weekend. Chevrolet United of Manchester beat the Hottsie-Tottsies yesterday one-nil while Swine Chelsea drew at home 2-2 against the Swans :o :). God's Righteous Angels in Blue play tomorrow against some bite team, I forget who. I have predicted that City will not win the EPL this season and I am supported in that prediction by the BBC's poll-of-polls of football cognoscenti who predict the Angels will finish 4th! :(

One of the reasons why they're always good was on display today in their match against West Ham United. Arsenal do not commit stupid penalties and one of the easiest ways of giving the opponent a penalty kick is to commit a handball foul. It is sometimes near unavoidable as the ball is traveling at the player's head at 50 mph and reflexively he throws up his hands. Technically sound clubs like Arsenal don't commit handballs. Here veteran Peter Cech of Arsenal miraculously avoids committing a handball against the Hammerheads.
