Happy/Sad-urday.

Arright, let's see what we have here so far. Some results should be in.

No! We don't have any. We'll put that under the sad face.

Updates frequently!
...
We're off! (Now in reverse chronological order).

Okay, we're gonna rap this here up right quick on accounta I'm tared. Know what time I got up today? 5:30. On a Saturday. On a freakin' SATURDAY.

HOUSTON                                                                          Memphis

Houston, we do not have a problem. The "Cougars," 24th ranked, beat the "Tigers" (There are more goddamned tigers in college sports than in the jungle.), 21st ranked. Two good teams, 35-34 score. Must have been a helluva game. That's it!

OREGON                                                                             Stanford

Who speaks for the Trees! Nobody.

SOUTH FLORIDA                                                             Temple.

There's 2:47 left in the game, USF leads by 14 and I'm calling it for the "Bulls." The Ghetto Owls! :(

ARKANSAS                                                                        Loozeeanna State

Held those Tigers in Red Stick, aussi. BIG upset. Sooey Pig.

Oh my gosh, I love @fauxpelini:

.@pontifex why do we live in a world where children are starving and Iowa is undefeated

MICHIGAN                                                                          Indiana

DRAT! Hard luck team, the "Hoosiers" Who-siers? Indiana. Double overtime. They've lost a few close games this year. Who?

NORTH CAROLINA                                                             Miami

The "Tar Heels" laid a double nickel and four pennies on the "Tropical Depressions." It was 52-7 going into the fourth quarter. UNC is a very good football team. Miami's messed up.

NAVY                                                                                    Southern Methodist.

The "Middies" laid a double nickel on Smoo.

CLEMSON                                                                                  Syracuse

Clemson came close to "clemsoning" again...Well, not really. The number one ranked team in America only beat 3-6, now 3-7 Syracuse by ten, 37-27, but never trailed.

OKLAHOMA STATE                                                         Iowa State

Dang it (I like underdogs). The "Cyclops" led the whole damn game and...couldn't quite lead at the end of the game.

TEXAS CHRISTIAN                                                           Kansas

Damn it. Kansas almost did it, 23-17. They are now 0-10. TCU is #15 in the country.
...
WEST VIRGINIA                                                                Texas.

Pretty bad, too. 38-20. Texas has been most inconsistent this year.

:O

PITTSBURGH                                                                         Duke

31-13! I don't know what to make of Duke now. Two weeks ago they were a top 25 team, got jobbed by the refs and lost at home to Miami; last week was Rout 66 to North Carolina and this week they get killed at home by Pitt, the pink "Panthers" on their own two game losing streak.

Nice win by Pitt, though. The "Panthers" will NOT finish 6-6 for the fifth straight year. They are now 7-3. Another way of saying what a fine job new coach Pat Narduzzi has done is to point out how consistent Pitt has been this year. Last year, I think it was against Duke, too!, they fumbled something like eight times, including at least one where the ball carrier was close to scoring a touchdown. This year: none of that bullshit. Until this week Pitt had beaten all the teams they would have been thought to beat and lost to the teams with clearly better talent brighter scholars and had been close in every game. Until this week. Duke was favored and Pitt blew them out, on the road. Very nice win by Pitt and Narduzzi.
