Man, I loathe Liverpool people and especially Liverpool FC fans but there can be nothing but hosannas for this Liverpool football team. They were embarrassed at Camp Nou 3-0 in the first leg, given up for dead, they would have to hold Lionel Messi & Co. scoreless in the return at Anfield and score 4 themselves—WITHOUT Mo Salah and Roberto Fermino—and they did it! It is the greatest night of European football ever at Anfield. But even despicable Liverpool Low Lifes can pump their fists with pride as they smash them into the faces and the stomachs of their women folk in celebration of this May Miracle.
They have to win something to lay claim as the greatest Liverpool team of all time and there are prohibitive odds against a Man City stumble at Brighton. For the second year in a row Liverpool is in the UCL Final, this year against the winner of Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool will be heavily favored. They must win either the CL or the EPL or their season will have been a trophy-less disappointment. Unless Liverpool fans disregard cold mathematics.
This Liverpool team deserves a a raucous, tearful parade if they come up short in both. They are second-best to NO ONE on the planet. Cheer and weep tears of joy for this incandescent team that may be the absolute best team on Planet Earth. Hats off to one of the greatest teams in the history of soccer anywhere at anytime.
