Americans are a noisy people

I have been away from television for so long, it's been 20 years now. I always say, "I don't miss it". I went over to my son's place to watch the "Heat"-"Sixers" game on TV and left shortly after half-time because I couldn't stand all of the noise: in the arena, in the studio, most of all in the commercials (adverts to the mother country). My son said at one point "It invades your space." It does, it's like someone, or a lotta someones constantly crabbing in your ear. It distracted me. Honest to God, I get a better sense for the flow of an NBA game reading the play-by-play in real time, in silence. Really, truly, "I don't miss it." 80-72 End 3Q.
