“I do believe that President Trump knows that the whole thing that he is doing is a ruse. On more than one occasion throughout the [2016] campaign, he would turn to me and others and say funny things like, ‘Why can’t people realize what you guys realize about me, that I am playacting and full of it at least 50 percent of the time?’ That sort of joking. So he knows that this is all a lie.”-Anthony Scaramucci.

Interesting. I remember there was talk back then that what he said was to some extent for effect, that he could not be taken literally. But a ruse to what end? Steve Bannon has said "what Trump says is what he means and what he intends." If Scaramucci's take were accurate 100% of the time, why would Trump still be "playacting"--every day--a year and a half after losing reelection?
