No undefeated major conference champion has ever been passed over by the CFP. That is FSU's ace in the hole--assuming of course that they beat Louisville tonight. An Alabama win here is going to mean that a one-loss major champ is going to be excluded. Since conference championship is one of the committee's criteria UGA would have to go. Then it would be between Alabama and Texas. Head-to-head is the tie-breaker if two teams have equivalent resumes. Are they equivalent? Texas' loss to Oklahoma is worse than Alabama's loss to Texas. I would term them equivalent and I would dare the committee to find otherwise. Then the tie-breaker is head-to-head and the SEC champion would be excluded..I have a headache.
