Sunday night a Black man, Jacob Blake, was shot seven times by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Miraculously, Blake survived. There is conflicting testimony on whether Blake had a knife within reach. There were protests. Last night a White SEVENTEEN-year old who was part of a right-wing "citizen's brigade" walked right past police at a protest site openly carrying an assault rifle. Not only did the police not stop him, Kyle Rittenhouse, but in video spliced together from social media, the police welcomed him.
“We appreciate you guys, we really do.”
"Thank you guys. Do you need water? Seriously. You need water? We'll throw you one."
Sounds of gunfire can be heard coming from a convenience store parking lot, Rittenhouse is heard to say "I just killed somebody" and then runs away down the middle of a street unmolested by police, who are everywhere in the area. People chase after him, one is heard to say "He just shot someone," he is knocked to the ground and shoots another person as he is going down. He then gets back up, still with the assault rifle, and begins walking down the street toward a police check point and past police vehicles with lights strobing heading the other way.
"Hey! He just shot them! The dude right here just shot them! The dude right here just shot all them down there."
Not a single cop pays any heed to the shouts and no cop stops Rittenhouse. Two people were killed by Rittenhouse and a third wounded. Rittenhouse was arrested in Antioch, Illinois, where he lives, this morning.
This country is gone. An international conspiracy aided from Moscow, assisted by Fox News, abetted by 60,000,000 Americans simpatico with Kyle Rittenhouse defeated the country known as the United States of America in 2016. That conspiracy has consolidated and grown more vast in 2020. It now includes American law enforcement at the federal state, and local levels, law enforcement entities that hitherto played no role in domestic police actions like the park police and border patrol. It includes local police agencies that had never been involved in national politics, like the New York Police Benevolent Association. Park Service officers are sent in to brutally clear Lafayette Square, Trump walks through a phalanx of those Praetorian Guards in mutual support. They all work for Trump now.
The "vast right-wing conspiracy" of today involves civilian groups that didn't exist or were barely known in 2016, like QAnon. Cops have been caught with QAnon insignia on their uniforms greeting Pence, they have it emblazoned on coffee mugs.It includes ad hoc "citizens militia" like that which Rittenhouse was a part, like those groups who descended armed on state capitals (including Madison Wisconsin), vowing to "LIBERATE!"; it includes vigilantes, neo-Nazis, goons, common criminals. They pledge fealty to Trump with Sieg Heil! salutes, communicate in code have their own patois ("cuck conservative," W.W.G.O.W.G.A."). They support each other, all support Trump and Trump pledges loyalty to them, encouraging them--the Nazis at Charlottesville were "fine people," QAnon and the state "LIBERATE!" goons were "good people." He pledges to advance their interests, protect them from legitimate law enforcement, pay their legal fees. This vast right-wing conspiracy is as organized and as disorganized as the Mafia of old, which was FBI Director James Comey's instantaneous thought when he saw the workings of the Trump Mob. The circle of reciprocal loyalty and reciprocal support binds the rods ever tighter together. Bound with them is the blade.
That is too far gone for a different president to make a difference, ho-ho-ho.. An election?! An election sounds like a joke now, like, "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the theater?"; like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The fasces of today is comprised of infinitely more rods bound tighter than in 2016. The blade is sharper. The neck is placed on the block, the axe falls, it is over in a split second.
The election doesn't matter anymore. The country is gone.
