The Pacific 12 Conference is, once agayne, a laughing stock. The champion hardly ever gets to play in the college (tackle) football playoff because they are so sorry. They style themselves Leaders in intercollegiate athletics only to be exposed repeatedly as laggards. The PAC was the first "Power Five" conference to cancel its football season and expected the others to Follow. They did not and the Laggards were forced to hastily reconvene their season in November. Member schools played only 4-6 games. The conference had almost no shot of making the CFP this season, its highest ranked team was 13th when only four teams are selected, but the manner in which they determined their champion, technically eligible to be selected, is what made them a running joke line.
Last night unranked Oregon, 3-2, played undefeated, 5-0, and 13th-ranked USC for the trophy. Oregon was a substitute. Washington won the PAC North division, Oregon came in second, but the "Huskies" weren't eligible on accounta they hadn't played enough games on accounta COVID. The Quack Attack was next up so they flew south to Los Angle-eeze to attack the "Trojans". And attack they did, embarrassing the conference with a 31-24 win.
The Power Five needs to contract or expand, boot the PAC 12 or add another conference or two. The PAC 12 is a disgrace.
