"...there's nothing positive about this situation right now that we put ourselves in, so that's why we have to dig deep and get ourselves out of it. You can't get away from it. It weighs on us every day, I mean everywhere. It weighs on us."-Cade Cunningham after last night's record-breaking 27th straight loss.
Cade Cunningham is 22 years old. There should be nothing but positive in a 22 year-old's life. Millionaire or pauper, talented or not, it should be all good at 22. What is going on in Detroit is crushing the souls of young people and young people's souls should be bright and "positive". More crushing to me as a ol' head is that these are good young people, high character people, high achievers, and this is going to follow them for the rest of their lives as surely as a tin can tied to the tail follows the young, frightened dog until he runs from it to his death. For these young people basketball is not just a game, it is their lives.
