It was an ABA shooting game! "Nuggets" 61.7% (51.4% behind the arc); Mia. 48.9% (46.5%). All five Denver starters scored in d.d.'s, topped by Nikola Jokic's 30. For the 45's, Herro led with 24 in 40'. Key early free agent trade point guard Scary Terry Rozier had 15 in 35' and 4 assists, which is considered weak for the position, and was a ghastly -22 in the minutes he played.
The game got away from Miami early, in the 7' Jimmy Butler was on the floor, actually. It was 24-14 when he sprained his ankle. He was -10 in those 7' and might have pushed Scary Terry for game-high detriment on the floor had he not suffered the injury. The "Heat" trailed 40-27 at the end of the 1Q.
Miami has now lost 3L, have only beaten the worst teams, Detroit, Charlotte, and D.C., and have only held the "Pistons" and "Wiz" below 100 points (somewhat leaky D).
The road trip continues Sunday in Minnehaha, Detroit Tuesday, and then concludes with a double-header vs Indiana on Nov. 15 and 17.
Most importantly Miami has fallen to 4th in the Southeast Division.
Good night, Hots and Colds!
