FU's "unofficial" high school football bribery arm, known as the "Gator Collective" signed B-Nap's top QB target to a $13M contract in November. The target, Jaden Rashada, signed a binding letter-of-intent to prostitute himself exclusively in Gainesville in the next four years. In an apparent case of irrational exuberance the "Collective" didn't have the whatcha call "money" to fulfill its contractual obligations and in December sent the prospect Jaden a "termination letter." A couple of days ago Jaden asked out of his l.o.i. and early today said ask was granted.
It is a cowardly new world in college athletic prostitution with "Name, Image, Right" (NIL) legislation granting high schoolers agency to sell themselves to the highest bidder. Florida entered this new world boldly and confidently but now has had its first attempt at luring a ⭐⭐⭐⭐(⭐) (the "recruiting" services are divided over how many stars Jaden merits) blow up spectacularly in its face. This is national [1] [2] news and the entire University of Gainesville, in new prez Ben Sasse's first few months, is seriously (seriously) stained before the nation.
