Trump supporters are so loyal because he is the only candidate ever who says what they only think and never speak except to other deeply trusted fellows, and he never apologizes for it. To them Trump has freed them from guilt over who they really are. They have Louis CK's "Of course" good angel sitting in one corner of their minds and Louis' "But maybe" bad angel, where e.g. slavery is necessary, in another. Trump, like Louis, makes it okay to voice those evil thoughts without guilt, in fact, to acceptance and even to wondrous laughter.
