Harris dismisses Trump as the ‘same old show’ as he rips into her on race
Trump and Harris held dueling events in Pennsylvania and Texas on Wednesday night.
You will get nary a pol, for whom the rule is "every attack answered in the same news cycle" to agree, but I do agree with this dismissive response to Trump. Here is Kamala's lead-in:
"This afternoon..." She's already smiling. Her audience knows what's coming. They begin to laugh.
Pause. Smile. Doesn't say anything.
Pause. She still hasn't spoken. The audience's laughter increases. She laughs, it is audible.
"Donald Trump spoke at the National Association of Black Journalists."
Folks, I have watched this. I have thought about the CW, and I honestly think this, bemused, dismissive, like "Okay Boomer", this is the way she should handle Trump. She does not take what he says seriously, she is confident in who she is and in who he is. I go against the CW. This is the way for her to handle him.
It is the "same old show" from him, again, and again, and agayne. I agree with Sen. Mark Kelly that Trump now sounds like
“a desperate and scared old man. He's afraid to lose an election to her in November, and he's afraid about his own future. ...She's a fantastic, historic candidate. And who is he? He's a convicted felon...Of course he's going to continue to do it. That's all he can do. This is all he has in his playbook
“I think he’s worried, and she’s going to continue to do this, and she’s going to win the election in November,”
Both Trump in his rally in Harrisburg, Pa. and Bowman/Hamel/Couch/Vance, in his rally in Arizona, are trotting out a new coordinated attack. She's a "stone cold phony", Trump said; an old headline was projected onto the megatron, “California’s Kamala Harris becomes the first Indian American US senator.” "A phony" was Couch's simpler attack. 34-time convicted felon-fraudster-rapist-serial liar-Project 2025-denier calling a D.A., an A.G., a U.S. Sen., the V.P. a phony?! Couch, three names, initials-no initials, evangelical protestant-atheist-Christian/Hindu wedding-Indian wife-Catholic calling her “a phony who caters to whatever audience is in front of her.” 😂 What's a better response to them than dismissive laughter?! Couch, calling HER a phony who caters to whatever audience?! Nah-ah, those dogs won't hunt. They are desperate, they don't know how to deal with her. This is all that they can do. And it is not working. Not from these dogs. Not on her. "She is going to win."
