FT Tn (11) 24 Al (7) 17

It seems to me that there has been a changing of the guard this year. Alabama has now lost two in the first eight games. Georgia has lost once, to Bama, might lose a second tonight. Clemson got smeared by UGA in the first game, but has rolled since. Michigan, the defending national cheating champion, has lost three times already. Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan: those have been the dominant programs in the sport in a decade. Florida and Florida State just BLOW.

And other teams come out of nowhere. Indiana, Pitt, Army and Navy ranked, (they shouldn't be but they are) at the same time, a first since 1963. Miami is back, it looks like. Iowa State is ranked 9th. Ohio is an Old Guard but have lost to O. BYU is 7-0 for the first time since their 1984 natty. Illinoise!

Some of this flux has to do with new coaches: Bama and M clearly are worse for the change. Miami, after two years of Mario Cristobal, have hit their stride. Pitt has been reborn with new offensive coordinator Kade Bell. FU and Half Ass Eww have awful coaches.

Undefeated no. 1 Texas and no. 5 Georgia have kicked off in Austin. If Tex loses O will be the new no. 1 and Paterno-Sandusky will be second.

It's good, change is good, it has been an exciting season.
