The Great Trump Death

126,000 is from Wikipedia. That also is going to be because of New Jersey. When I was scurrying around trying to fined confo for WaPo's 2,493 Deaths today I saw that Wikipedia's count hadn't changed all day from 124,000. You know what, fuck that. I'm going to go back to Johns Hopkins. There are right at this very exact moment,

124,402 Americans Killed by Donald Trump.

Now they tell us.

WaPo just added this to the Cases and Deaths graphs:

Note: The spike in deaths on June 25 is due

to New Jersey authorities adding more than

1,800 probable deaths to the state's totals.

Okay, so they weren't all from today. They were from other days and Jersey just lumped them all together today. You know what, Chief, that is really a BULLSHIT explanation by you after so many goddamned hours with that total up there naked of any goddamned explanation. Somebody wasn't minding the Wigwam! So fuck you, Washington Post, FUCK YOU.

Trump Epidemic

We have already, with three and one-half hours to go, set a new record for Cases in a day today: 39,327. The previous record was yesterday. And the record before that the day before.

(WaPo)

What must be going through the mind of Donald Trump? Not a facetious question. In Phoenix on Tuesday, when we logged 33,730 new cases he said that the virus "was going away." A week or so ago he told Fox that the virus "was fading away."

Is he told? Also not a facetious question. Months ago there was a report that the intelligence community stopped telling him that Russia was interfering in the election because he just got angry and didn't want to hear it.

Somebody, I don't remember now who, had to barge into the Oval Office back in February and shout in his face that the virus was real, was spreading, and was really dangerous. When he wanted to open the country in time for Easter church services Kellyanne Conway went to him and pointblank told him if he does that he will be blamed for every death that happens after that. Can Kellyanne not tell him? His chief of staff?

He's watching the news now, he does every day from about 8 pm to midnight. How can he miss it on TV? What, does he just keep switching the channel when the subject comes up? I don't think these last two days he avoid it by constantly switching the channel.

You have to assume that with his staff and his TV addiction that he knows.

Does he have one of those minds where he just walls it off? That although he knows, it's in this private corner of this part of his brain. and when he speaks, to Fox, in Tulsa, in Phoenix, he draws on a public-speaking part of his brain that is completely walled off and which can't access the information in the private part? Like the Iraqi Information Minister?

Assume what seems to be CW, that he's a narcissist and pathological liar (not difficult assumptions). A narcissist is somebody who only cares about himself, right? Okay, then how is publicly stating that the coronavirus is "fading away" or "going away" in the narcissist's interest?--the only thing that matters to him! "Pathological lying is when an individual consistently lies for no personal gain." Well, there is personal gain at stake in Trump's lying about coronavirus--if the virus really was going away, if he had done a "great" job in making it go away, if he could convince people of that then he would have a better chance at getting reelected!

2,493

See it has changed. Their website is not stuck or something. It updated by ten Deaths since I last posted. I tried to email the first-listed Post reporter on the coronavirus page but the email icon didn’t open. I was going to ask her to verify the daily count and if she, Hannah-somebody, did verify then ask why this was not the lead story on the front page in WAR IS DECLARED size.

(WaPo)

But there it is again. I just snipped it again. It says 2,483 Deaths today. I have known WaPo to undercount both Cases and Deaths compared to Johns Hopkins and the New York Times. I have never known WaPo to overcount. But then why is this not blaring at the top of every news website?
That can't be. It would be the lead story in every news outlet. The graph is from the Washington Post. No other graph is available until the end of the day. But that can't be right.

Major incident declared after thousands flock to UK beaches in sweltering heat-CNN Travel

To me, that is just disgusting.
Human beings are so gross-looking anyway and the English among the grossest that having to look at thousands and thousands of them half or less undressed would be a nightmare.

Despite advice to stay away from the area, it was overrun with cars and sunbathers, leading to gridlock, illegal parking and anti-social behavior. By Thursday morning, more than 40 tons of waste had been removed from the coastline.
...
The UK is slowly easing its coronavirus restrictions and groups of up to six people are allowed to meet up outside in England. However, the sheer number of sunseekers caused huge problems.
Illegally parked cars obstructed roads, and the council handed out 558 parking enforcement fines -- a daily record.

Rubbish crews also suffered abuse and intimidation as they tried to remove mountains of rubbish from the seafront

Oh my God point me to the vomitorium.
Raheem hit the post a couple ago.
Oh my goodness, what a free kick by Kev. Look at the placement.

“How a President Leads”-The Lincoln Project

This contrasting, inspiring, moving ad begins with this graphic.

A bright pale blue light, on the rise, come to illuminate the utter dark.

The ad concludes with brief campaign footage over which Joe Biden says,

“I won’t traffic in fear and division.”

“I won’t fan the flames of hate.”

“It’s time to pick up our heads.”

“Remember who we are.”

The screen then fades to a vantablack void.

As Biden says with no background crowd noise, his voice alone in that void and louder than previously,

“This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!”

The ad ends.

“Joe Biden Frightens Donald Trump”-David Axelrod

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/23/opinions/joe-biden-frightens-donald-trump-axelrod/index.html

That is a VERY interesting article and does what I like so much, really rips a text open and gets deep inside.

Trump in Tulsa:

“If the Democrats gain power, then the rioters will be in charge and no one will be safe and no one will have control. Joe Biden is not the leader of his party. Joe Biden is a helpless puppet of the radical left."

The lines he appeared to ad-lib about Biden next were unintentionally revealing.

"He's not radical left. I don't think he knows what he is anymore, but he was never radical left. But he's controlled by the radical left, and now he's really controlled."

“Appeared to ad lib”: I was under the distinct impression almost nothing Trump said at these rallies was pre-prepared, by him or anyone else. But okay I’ll accept this guy’s close look.

I am not getting how that ads up to Trump “fearing” Biden:

...why he feared Biden so much that he bought himself an impeachment trying to dirty up the former Vice President....

Hmm. I’ll play along but to conscience satisfaction, no, I don’t think that is true.

...his comments on Saturday underscored both why he fears Biden and what line of attack he will attempt to use...
...
Trump's acknowledgment that Biden is not "radical left," was an admission that to try to paint the former VP as extreme was a losing proposition. So instead, Trump will try to portray Biden as the addled, doddering tool, too weak to resist the gravitational pull of the Left.

As this guy writes Trump has always said Biden would be his strongest opponent. I’m fixating on “fear” because the writer fixates on feat and I just don’t see how believing X would be your strongest opponent=fear of that opponent. Trump has a plan of attack, a bad one as the writer says, but a plan.

Trump had nothing to fear from Biden, as the writer also says, Trump was going to win the election, until the virus, the economy, and the protests. It is only Trump’s missteps that I and X-2 and Maggie Haberman and Peter Boyle and others have noticed that have dug him in this impossibly deep hole, his political grave. To the point that Trump’s own aides mused about self-destructiveness as an explanation. X-2 and I each independently thought Tulsa would be a disaster for Trump. It was. That calling in the military at the White House protests was a grave mistake. It was. That Trump’s coronavirus briefings were the death of him. They were. The bible school self-perp walk. The baby steps down the ramp at West Point, the serial use of two hands to drink wa-wa from his sippy cup; Bumker Boy, on and on and on. And all this year, all since the twin nightmares of the virus he mocked and dismissed as recently as last week (“fading away,” today a record number of cases) and in Tulsa Saturday (“kung flu”), and the protests. Joe Biden hasn’t done shit, it has been all Trump. The only thing Trump had to fear was Trump himself.

New Record Number of Cases June 24

According to WaPo there are more new Cases, 38,173 today, June 24, with the day not yet complete, than on any other day during the the Trump Epidemic. Today's number obliterates the previous record, 34,203, on April 25.

Mercifully, Deaths (688) are lower today than they were yesterday, June 23 (805). While the Death 7-day average line has leveled and actually ticked up, the latter is almost imperceptible, it has leveled and ticked up previously, and the line continues its clear downward trend since April 15. There just is no correlation between those two lines.
Switching to the Johns Hopkins site and using their numbers Donald Trump's Kill efficiency is 5.12%, down almost a full point from his 6.06% high.
When I get dangerously angry, edging on out-of-control, the emotional state is preceded by "a funny feeling inside my stomach," that is how I refer to it to myself, the only way I know how to describe it, and is pathognomonic only of "dangerously angry." An outburst does not always follow the funny feeling but an outburst never occurs without the funny feeling. Today is the first time that I have had that funny feeling inside my stomach concerning the Trump Epidemic since the outbreak.

HUGE Spike in Deaths June 23

(NYT)

That's 833 at farthest right. More than any day since June 11. More June 23 than June 22 (360) and June 21 (275) combined. Caused the 7-day average to tip slightly up. (The empty spaces of the current structure is identical to those of June 14-15 and May 31-June 1.)

More than 35,000 new coronavirus cases were identified across the United States on Tuesday, according to a New York Times database, the highest single-day total since late April and the third-highest total of any day of the pandemic.

As the United States continues to reopen its economy, case numbers are rising in more than 20 states, mostly in the South and West. Florida on Wednesday reported a new daily high of 5,508 cases. Texas reported more than 5,000 cases on Tuesday, its largest single-day total yet. Arizona added more than 3,600 cases, also a record.
