Hmm. Cleveland lost tonight. Lost by twelve. And at home. Only their fifth loss of the year, but their first at home. And they never led. Lost at home by 12, to a team that was 6-8 coming in and never led. LeBron James is not joyful tonight. I looked at the stat line trying to see where they lost it. They shot atrociously; okay you can have an off night, teamwide off night. Really, teamwide? Assists: substantially in Washington's favor. Oooh, boy, so the "Cavs" were playing one-and-gun? Turnovers: Cleveland had substantially more turnovers. Washington five blocks to three. Looks like Washington contributed substantially to Cleveland's .337 shooting percentage. They were passing the ball, playing good defense themselves and Cleveland was playing selfishly, the image you get from the stat line is one guy bringing the ball up court alone and shooting a 25-footer without ever passing. That is a game ladies and gentlemen that hollows out the soul of a team. This was the 18th game in season two for Lebron James, an "urgent" year, and Cleveland is still playing like that?! There is something wrong with this team.
But hey: NEWS FLASH! The Philadelphia "Seven Foot Sixers" WON! Their FIRST this year. Phila. now is proud owner of. 1-18 b-ball team. Curb your enthusiasm. Know who they beat. Kobe-"What's wrong with a 25-foot iso shot?"-Bryant's Lakers.
