"We should not assume that either a 2020 election defeat or impeachment/conviction will remove Trump from the White House."

The first post today, a brief excerpt from a Times article, was published as I waited in court for the judge to take the bench. After handling my case I was thinking about the article as I drove back to my office and when I arrived I wrote the post immediately preceding this one. Short little post. No sources. Based just on the things Trump and his supporters had said and done that I remembered while driving. Went back to my actual, like, work and thought no more about it. Then, just a little bit ago I went back to the Times to look for a Paul Krugman column that I had seen the lede to but had not read. Unrelated. Scroll, scroll, scroll down the Opinion section, I stopped at this:

I wasn't looking at my jaw at the time so I can't say for sure that my jaw dropped but the jaw in my mind dropped. Now, of course, adding eight scholars to one idiot blogger does not add up to nine scholars. This happens so frequently, this being that something is written here that is near identical to something written in the Times as an op-ed piece or even an editorial, that I have several times pointed out the uncanny coincidence in order to disavow it. You can believe that, the truth, or you can believe as some Russians did during the Obama years that no, no, this Benyamin Harris person, he write in the disguise. He actually swine Tomas Friedman or he "insider" apparatchik writing in disguise to fool Rooski! You can believe that if you want to.
