Trump will claim victory at 8:01 p.m. election night, attempting to fix the "red mirage" in stone. Simultaneously, the Russians and the Disgustings will be ransoming the states, altering the votes, stealing the mail-in ballot boxes, real and cyber, preventing Mendelsohn's map from evolving accurately into a blue tsunami. Trump will then, as David E. Sanger wrote, take the fight into congress, the courts, and the streets. As Trump said in the debate he has the backing of all local law enforcement. He has federal police. He is the commander-in-chief of the military.He can pull the plug on the internet. In a battle between might and right, Trump will win. He and the Russians will have stolen the election again and, finally, closed the coffin on the American democracy.
