The Heat is the second-most popular team in the world behind only the Golden State Warriors, according to a study released in December by bookies.com, which used metrics on Google searches worldwide.

And the large contingent of Heat fans at opposing arenas — in Atlanta, New York, Washington and elsewhere — offers some measure of supporting evidence.

Be damned, Didn’t know that. Never conceived it, actually. Don’t understand why. GS, got that. The “Heat”? Serious? This could be another instance of “lies, damn lies, statistics”, i.e. “Yeah, the “Heat” are the second most populat team in the world—with 4%. LAL is third with 3%, the “Knicks” fourth with 2. All others <\=1. Golden State: number one with 90%. I’m so surprised I’m entertaining a faintly plausible, yet still statistically correct interpretation. I mean, what seems more likely to you: “Warriors” 90% “Heat” 4% or “Warriors” 40% “Heat” 30%? I can’t wrap my brain around 40-30.
