D-FENCE

 The "Celtics" defense is a marvel to see. In soccer this would be called a high press. The parts communicate as one. See Smart directing the veep to mind Gabe. Bam setting a high pick. NOBODY in white even inside the arc, much less the paint!

                   Jimmy about to hand off to The Composer. Hatem switches frictionless.

                 The shot clock at 10, Jimmy splits green white and Hatem and drives the paint. The Composer out of picture at the logo. It's 5-on-4. No so smart en garde. The Coach protecting the middle. Bam on this play, apparently to avoid the 3-sec rule, actually runs out of bounds along the baseline. The veep minding Kevin but leaning toward the paint.

Jimmy in mid-air decides to pass to Max, just in the picture now. I have seen these mid-air decisions repeatedly in this series. I don't think they are designed plays, I think it's random basketball. Hatem and green white see what Jimmy is doing and Hatem immediately peels off to close.

On this play Max blows by Hatem and gets to the yellow area and makes the mid-range jumper but the "Celtics" were locked in on defense.
