State of the Association

Washington is 3-19, .136.

San Antonio 3-19.

Detroit 2-21, .087.

8-59, .119. That’s 10 wins per team over 82 games for three, 10%, of league teams. Detroit and San Antonio are on franchise-long losing streaks, that’s 74 seasons for the “Pistons”; 56 for the “Spurs”. Each of the three is, on average—including the games they have won—getting blown out by double digits in every game they play: SA -12, DC -10.7, DET(RITUS) -10-1. Has there ever been an NBA season with three teams so non-competitive?

I couldn’t tell you who has the best record in the league, nor who the top three teams are, but I know which are the three worst. That is not good for the state of the Association.
