Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Arsenal 0
Chelsea 1

The table through 23 matches and 15 to go:

Leicester 47, +16
Manchester City 44, +22
Arsenal 44, +15
Tottenham Hotspur 42, +22

Look at Spurs! They are one win from being in second place. Goal difference is so important. Five points seperate one through four. One slip by Leicester and an opportunistic Man City would have a near insurmountable hold on the title. Two slips and Spurs would seize it. Arsenal is one (more) slip from being buried hopelessly in fourth place. All because of goal difference. Arsenal, now that's a club that can not endure "prosperity."

Transfer Talk LIVE: Man United want James.

I had appended "He's not in shape." to that last post but then deleted it. James is in good enough shape to play LVG's style.

"Transfer Talk LIVE: Man United want James"-ESPNFC

"GOP Senators: Anyone But Cruz."-The Hill.

I won't bore you with another cut-and-paste job cuz I know you want me to get back to the "Cavs," which I will shortly, so I will summarize:

"ABC" is all about "I." They think Stump at the top of the ticket will be less dangerous for their own reelection chances. They think they can more easily distance themselves from a guy who used to be a Democrat and who hijacked the party than from a sitting senator. And, they really hate Cruz.

Opposition so-based is not going to hurt Cruz, it is just playing into his hands.

One quote:

"Trump says things that drive you up the wall--he says he doesn't like guys who get captured and that he'll make Mexico pay for the wall--but he's not mean. Cruz is mean."

That is a telling comment. It tells me that even sober-minded GOP establishment types are so mean that they don't see Stump's comments about Senator John McCain and immigration as mean. It tells me that they don't see the danger in Stump's "Strong Man" candidacy nor do they recognize the anti-semitism in Sarah Palin's endorsement speech. It tells me the GOP is clueless.

Now.*

Russians, you're weird.

You know what that post is? Just a 9/11 commemoration. A single photo of the Twin Towers burning. Eight pageviews of that. They've never seen that before? Weird. Maybe Ukrainians. 8-8. Ukrainians, you're weird.

*UPDATE. It's Ukrainians. Now-Now:

I mean this as a serious question: is it too late for somebody else to jump into the presidential nominating process? Two somebodies, one Demo, one Repube. Bloomberg got me thinking about this. Biden came close a month or so ago. "Draft Somebody" movements, there have been those things in the past. Biden was a "Draft Biden" movement. There was a "Draft Scranton" movement in...whenever. Didn't work! Romney was supposed to be kinda, sorta not uninterested in being "forced" to run again. Why didn't Mayor Bloomberg decide to think about getting into the Republican race? Now that I think this through and write it out, the Republican Party is too fractured, that's why there are so many candidates in the first place, there can't be a draft movement, they couldn't agree on anyone. The Demos are more unified--When did you think you'd ever be able to say that?!--and I don't think Sanders is going to beat Clinton, Bloomberg's unlikely condition for an independent run, but she is...No, I think she is a strong candidate, I was going to say "She is a weak candidate," but I just don't like her very much, I think she is a strong candidate and will crush Stump or Cruz. So, forget about this whole post.
Hi. I can read your minds. I know what you want to read here. You want to read the latest on the Cleveland "Cavaliers!" :) Okay, okay. They lost last night :( in their first game post-Top Gun Renaissance Man. Lost by two touchdowns. At the Pawn Shop, too. :o Were down early, were down not so early, were down late, were down at the end. They are fourth-best in the league and Ted Cruz' Toronto "Raptures" are only 2 1/2 games behind them.

They are not in good physical shape. ?  I know. They're in better shape than me but they're not in good shape-shape, they can't play fast, that's what new coach Tyronn Lue said-said. The players, only thing you're gonna be hearing from these mother-fuckers for the rest of the season is "Yes, sir, whatever Coach say sir," all the players be like, "We not in shape. We slow, fat, lazy, we gotta get in better shape."

So, yeah. Happy now?

Jose Mourinho has written Manchester United a six-page letter explaining his strong desire to manage the club and how he would be willing to adhere to United’s principles. He also outlined his plans for the team, and the key decisions he would take.-Independent.

With barely a week left until the Iowa caucuses, Donald Trump got defensive during a campaign rally in deeply conservative northwest Iowa on Saturday...And he ripped apart the National Review...he said the 22 essayists are "mostly losers"...-Washington Post. lol.

The Russians are up to September. Fyi.
