A pedestrian bridge, installation had just started Friday, across seven lanes of traffic collapsed just about two hours ago on the south campus of Florida International University in Miami. "Multiple fatalities" are all we know at this point.
The Miami Herald published an article on the bridge construction on Friday. The lede was:
"The innovative installation method significantly reduced risks to workers, pedestrians and motorists..."

"'Instant'" bridge." Maybe they should have gone with the "from scratch" method instead. In the body of the article was this:
"The innovative installation method significantly reduced risks to workers, pedestrians and motorists..."
Maybe less "innovative"? Less "instant?"
