It seems there is generalized security incompetence in the United States.
The match is between Argentina and Colombia. According to USA Today the dangerous security situation was caused by unticketed fans climbing fences, crashing gates, overrunning outmanned and unprepared security and getting into the stadium. I have never seen a venue that crowded. People are standing in the aisles, in any available space. You cannot see aisles nor exits, just yellow-clad people from end to end. Now that they are in, how is stadium security going to get them safely out?
