I think happy thoughts when I crawl into bed and last night my happy thought was a New York Times headline for November 6:
Biden, Democrats Rout Trump, GOP
President wins reelection 60%-40%. Democrats win House, keep Senate
When I first read Sen. Coons' statement I thought, "It's higher than that.", but after finishing the AP article I began to think, "This is as good as it gets for Trumpie. He has had the stage all to himself so far: the big megaphone loudcasting to his listless vessels; no debates, no pushback from the Bidens or other GOP candidates. It's all downhill from here for him."
Maybe 60-40 isn't just a happy night thought. Maybe 40 is both floor and ceiling.
