The last few madcap episodes have been devoted to securing the IMF loan of $15B. When Vasya finally makes it back to Kyiv via bakery truck and yacht and, and, and, he meets with the IMF head to sign the loan agreement. The IMF head then informs him of the conditions and they repair to the celebratory press conference.
This is the season where 2,000 years ago a great star illuminated for the world the way to a manger in Bethlehem where a savior was born of the Jewish people. Four years ago, five years ago, a television series illuminated for “the whole wide world” a country and a people nearly as obscure, and nearly as great, and shone a light on their savior.
To watch that, to see him saying those words as an actor...And it's all true, and we didn't know...And it all came true...

That was a pretty cute episode. I actually laughed*. There is no way Sergey can get through a meeting with the IMF head without Vasya being present and so, with Oksana's agreement, they stall for time until the next day by getting the IMF delegation drunk on vodka in "traditional Ukrainian toasts"--to everything? (P.S. Lovely Ania has been very subtly outted by Yulya, who Vasya has had released from prison and made PM so that Ukraine can get money stolen by the oligarchs (ethical sword). (P.S.S. There was a problem with the translation in E8: "consequences" was mistranslated as "coincidences".))
*I haven't laughed much in the last several episodes. Zelensky wrote Goloborodko as too much of a worrywart. Goloborodko has not embodied the good humor of the Ukrainian people much lately. Zelensky also has this odd quirk as a screenwriter, noted here before (most prominently in S2 E1), of interrupting present scenes with dreams, day or sleep, that are presented seamlessly, hence confusingly, for the audience. That occurred, agayne, in E8.

That followed a tweet last month of a German soldier from World War II, which was cited by white nationalist Telegram accounts as evidence of Mr. Musk’s like-mindedness.
And House Republican leaders say they will reinstate Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Republican of Georgia, and Paul Gosar, Republican of Arizona, to committees from which they were jettisoned by Democrats in part for their antisemitic comments or associating with white supremacists like Mr. Fuentes.

Fire Ryan Day And Expel All Ohio State Students Sophomore Year And Below
Lane Kiffin. Brian Hartline. Mike Vrabel. URBAN MEYER. I don’t care who it is. This current guy needs to go. And to everyone below their sophomore year should have to transfer. I’m not talking just players. I’m talking ALL OHIO STATE STUDENTS. You’re now 0-2 against the rival and something needs to be done about it. My parents didn’t pay my tuition for 4 years for me to watch this embarrassment. True story: I almost transferred after my freshman year because we lost to Michigan, but then I realized it was because we had an interim coach and our lord and savior Urban Meyer was coming. From there, we went 3-0 and rattled off 7 straight. That’s how it should be. Ohio State has better players. The last two years, Michigan has been more prepared, better coached, and won.
And this isn’t just on Ryan Day. Defensive Coordinator Jim Knowles was brought here for this game and he gave up 45 points. Fire everybody. Start over tomorrow. I want Urban Meyer back.
Is Ryan Day a Michigan inside guy? That’s a legitimate question after today. Running it on 1st and 35 and also being down late with 3 straight runs and a punt? Ryan Day, now 33-2 in the Big Ten, is the worst coach in Ohio State history.

Now, you may think this is simply an overreaction to another upsetting loss, but this is not the case. I have been skeptical of this coaching staff ever since the 2020 National Championship loss to Alabama, and the way these last two seasons played out led me to believe nothing of the contrary. The defenders of Ryan Day will say that he is 45-5 (!)
as the head coach for Ohio State, that the recruiting is still near the best in the country, and that he has made the College Football Playoff in three of his five seasons as the headman in charge. All undeniable facts, yes, but I’m here to tell you that simply isn’t good enough.
When it comes to his record, losing only five total games across five seasons, sure that looks good on paper. But how many actual losable games does Ohio State play in any given season? 😂…
The reality is, Ohio State has had a total of six games against real competition during Day’s tenure: Clemson (2019), Clemson (2020), Alabama (2020), Oregon (2021), Michigan (2021), Michigan (2022).
Penn State?Day’s record in these games? 1-5. The Wolverines he beat in 2019 were a four-loss team. You can give him credit for wins against Penn State, but Ohio State has won 10 of the last 11 games in that series and would be a perfect 11-0 if not for a blocked field goal, so once again, talent gap.
Notre Dame this season? Meh.
That one win over Clemson in 2020 was a game that was planned for over a full-year’s span. 🤣The results in big games just have not been there, and Day has been at fault in a number of these losses.
I’m going to say something that is probably going to be a little bit controversial today: I’m not ready to say that Ryan Day should be fired as Ohio State’s head coach. I know that there are a lot of people in Buckeye Nation — and many here at Land-Grant Holy Land — who disagree vehemently, and honestly have been ready for such a drastic step long before yesterday’s failure in The Game.
The recruiting is a valid point, but how hard is it really to convince the best players in the country to an already established elite brand like Ohio State? …
