Ohh boy! Undefeated #8 Minnesota is trailing at #20 Iowa 13-3 ‘bout halfway through the 2Q. Go-Go’s got their signature win under PJ Fleck last week against Paterno-Sandusky. Betcha Minnie loses that game. Iowa is well-coached and particularly tough in Kinnick Stadium. Games there tend to the low-scoring and Minnie is a front-running team. They like to jump on you like they did last week. They did not jump on the “Hawkeyes” today.
Ohh boy, Part II. My Beloveds play at VaTech next week. Pitt has had success in Lane Stadium. “Hokies” have jumped on GaTech in Atlanta, hoo-doggie. 31-0 at the half! Tech is a wreck but just a couple weeks ago Pitt beat them only 20-10 and previous to that Tech won at Miami Gardens. “Hokies” are coached by Justin Fuente, second year I think, and are 6-3. They had a baad loss at BC to start the season and two weeks later Dook gave ‘em the devil in Lane: I mean 45-10. At that point VaTech became MH370, you couldn't find 'em even with radar. However. But. VaTech has improved drastically, I mean drastically. They are 4-1 in their last five and that one loss at Notre Dame by one point. They won at Miami, beat UNC at home, and last week killed the then #19 team in the country, Wake Forest, 36-17 at home. Now they lead..Update: It is now 38-0 Virginia Tech. Pitt’s gonna lose to these guys next week.
And it appears things are getting figured out on PlanetM. “Wolverines” murdered then #8 ND 45-14 on October 26 and murdered East Lansing Spartak today 44-10. In between they had the obligatory win at MD. Next week they play at Indiana, close losers today to the Pedo Bears. That will tell something; Indiana is still 7-3 with today’s loss. But “Hoos” gonna be blue after today. Mich will win that game if they are real. But what will tell more is a week later. #1 Ohio State comes to the Big House. Jim Harbaugh never beat Urban Meyer. He is not going to beat Ryan Day. Not on this day anyway. But can Harbaugh get his team to make it close? Close-ish. Two touchdowns. Can Harbaugh just not get the shit kicked out of himself at home? Keep the loss to two TD’s and I say things are looking real on PlanetM.
...By the way...It’s now 20-3 Iowa, 2’ to half. Say good night Go-Go’s.
