I actually looked at the final score three times to make sure I didn't get the teams reversed. I noticed after the FAU Miracle that the "Heat" were up big. The "Nets" have been dropping like a rock and I was pos-i-tiv Miami would win by about that margin. The "Heat" have seven games left, five on the road, five against teams with worse records. New Jersey has a game in hand and holds the tie-breaker on Miami.
And then this, on the "front page" of ESPN:
Yes, the score is shocking but I have no dog in this dog fight. It was Espo's link to their story that infuriated:
You could say similarly that George Foreman "held an advantage" over Joe Frazier in their first fight. It's rank disinformation and Espo exposed itself as a purveyor. Disgusting. Sports journalism is more often oxymoron than true.
