I have never seen Adam Silver as animated and...anguished (?), shocked, a word he used, as here. Adam is a controlled man and this is a controlled interview but his voice tone and his body language, 

He exhales a deep breath and begins his answer, "Well..." Anguished is le mot juste. Adam was anguished. (I've NEVER heard Adam say "rough ass" before! 😅. Greatest commissioner in any sport ever.)
