So todays update.. 8hrs!
David really helps me focusing
I guess I just respect that he’s sitting next to me, and therefore I lose focus less.

And I also feel less alone doing the process
Me, 7:16:
thank you, honey. everything ana wrote there is true.
i study ana as we study the material and i take notes on her as well as the material. today, at the beginning, i wrote,
Ana: "need someone sitting next to me" rather than tutor.
another time, we were deeply involved in the thyroid and really enthused and she was taking notes and without looking up said, "on a different subject it helped that you said 'you're going to pass and it doesn't matter if it takes five years.'"
i won't repeat what i've sent previously on where the usmle ranks in difficulty and length of preparation. it is a long, grueling thing. lonely if you're alone..
ana gave up her "identity", her word, and chose us, her american family, much as little, vulnerable eleven chose the house on the corner of post ave, and ultimately me. ana took a ginormous leap of faith in us that she would not be alone. she never will be. i will always be sitting next to her.
