Hassan Whiteside played 12 minutes last night? 12?

SPOELSTRA!

That is absurd. Philadelphia was without their starting center. What, did Erik decide to level the playing field for them? Whiteside did not "make the most" of his 12 minutes, that's for sure. Two points on 1/4...Well, he did have six boards which equates to 24 if he had played 48 minutes, two blocks=8 over a full game, but two turnovers, also eight, 1 assist; he was a putrid -16 in those paltry 12 minutes but Josh Richardson was a -30 over 27'. At the end of the first half, during which Whiteside had the majority of his 12 minutes the "Heat" led 60-56. Whiteside was subbed out at 7:54 of the 3Q, at which point the score was 69-63 Philly. Whiteside spent the rest of the game on his backside. Philly's lead grew to as much as 29.  And after the game Spoelstra did not blame Whiteside's performance for the benching. Erik said things happen very fast in games and matchups, need to run oh gag me until I barf.

Erik Spoelstra is a tinkerer. He tinkers. He likes to get his little hands into the machinery and tinker with the parts. He likes to take this part out and put this one in just cuz he can. To Erik, he's not a coach if he doesn't tinker. No Steve Kerr is Erik! No sirree Bob. Last year the "Heat" won 41 games. Erik tinkered that team up to 30-11 over the second half of the season. Got the parts, the "matchups" he liked and finished 30-11. Stupendous job by Erik. Masterer tinkerer. Management liked the team's potential so much they brought near the whole concoction back again this year, at new voluminous salaries. You got everybody back, Erik, just let that thing roll! But no. "Miami has used 25 different starting lineups this season..." (Palm Beach Post). Erik is a tinkerer. I tinker therefore I am. He cannot stop tinkering. He tinkered this team up to 44 wins this year. 44. 3 more than last year. Piss poor job, Erik, PISS poor. Erik has never heard of "If it ain't broke don't fix it," never heard of Voltaire, "The perfect is the enemy of the good," never heard that the power not exercised is sometimes the greatest (that's mine :) ). Erik has heard of "Tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor, rich man, poor man, beggarman, thief." Erik lives by that. Coaches by it. Erik will take the nice, shiny part of the machine that Mickey Arison is paying $22 million per year, and take it out of the machine and buff it and make it all shinier cuz it'll fake the other team out. "Bet they didn't expect that!" You fooled 'em, Erik, hmm mmm, sure did. He's thieving Mickey Arison's money and rusting the biggest, shiniest part of the machine.
