2.0 I have made an investment decision in no. 23 Texas DE&I giving 3 at Miami Gardens. I am removing the Pitt-Cincinnati game from “Lookin’ Hard At” as I don’t look hard at anything involving my beloved Alma Mater.
3.0 I am investing in #24 Tulane +7 #20 Old Mississippi.

North Carolina State +7 #10 Notre Dame du lac. I like home dogs; I think the Pack of Wolves is a decent team and I'm not sold on Sam Hartman and ND with blowouts of Navy and Tenn. State. Nickel on NC State to cover.
#22 Colorado -3 Nebraska. I don't know how Nebraska is going to score points on the "Buffaloes" when they couldn't on the "Gophers". Buffaloes seem more formidable in nature and as nicknames. Dime on Colorado.
Miami Gardens +3 Texas DE&I. I am unconvinced that UMG is back and am more convinced that Texas DE&I are the stronger team. Nickel on “Aggies” to win by 4+.
#24 Tulane +7 #20 Old Mississippi. Tulane enters this game on a five game win streak dating back to the conclusion of 2022 including a comeback for the ages over USC in a bowl game. Old Miss lost its last its last four of the season including blowout losses to unranked Arkansas and Texas Tech in the Texas bowl and won its first game of the 2023 season with a shellacking of "Mercer." Tulane is at home with the cupboard from last season not bare given its pre-season ranking and the point spread is high for a home dog playing a team ranked only four spots above. Nickel on "Green Wave".
As I have mentioned in previous seasons doing this the early season matchups are where the investment houses are uncertain given turnover and a paucity of this-season data. I have always thought that these early season matchups are where easy lucre can be made, compared to later when teams have settled. So my risk of 25 in these games is in keeping with the opportunities that I see existing. As always, I would be content with a near break even with hopes for a killing.
