Israel has dropped leaflets and ordered that 1.1M civilian Palestinians in northern Gaza leave in 24 hours ahead of a ground invasion. The U.N. and human rights agencies say that the evacuation order is impossible--and it may be--and violates human rights guarantees against forcible transfer of people. 

What would they have Israel do? Continue to bomb indiscriminately? Ground invade and have civilians in the midst of firefights with Hamas? Have Hamas use civilians use as human shields as they have done previously? Do the U.N. and human rights groups agree with Hamas' orders that civilians stay and not obey Israeli orders?

Israel must ground invade. It must kill every last Hamas fighter. It must root them from their labyrinthine tunnels. Hamas must be exterminated. Would the U.N. have Israel issue an order that Hamas surrender en masse for execution? Civilian evacuation coupled with a ground invasion is the most humane way of exterminating Hamas, and it is the duty of the Israeli government to exterminate Hamas.
