It's McCarthy's trust issue again. I'll tell ya, this is going to hurt him with Republicans in the House and not just the Taliban. It's also dangerous for President Biden. What if McCarthy reneges on holding a stand-alone vote on Ukraine aid?
I am more alarmed though about McCarthy's safety, yes, I wrote that, with Baby Gaetz. Gaetz has been just this side of violent in his relations with McCarthy. Remember, there was almost a fist fight in the well of Congress during the Speaker votes. Today Baby Gaetz gave another enraged speech about this supposed secret deal on Ukraine. I don't know what degree of violence Gaetz is capable of, but it seems to me it's a non-zero degree.
