The polls are accurate. If Americans voted next Tuesday Trumpie would likely be prez agayne. So the polls are not accurate because Americans don't vote next Tuesday but eleven months from now.
President Biden is governing, not doing much campaigning--not nearly as much as David Axelrod would like him to do. PoJo is thus a target that is not punching back much.
Biden has no real opposition. He's not debating and will not debate until after the Democratic Convention.
Trumpie has opposition. He's not debating and will not debate until after the Republican Convention.
Not debating was smart of Trumpie in securing the GOP nomination. It was also necessary because he doesn't have the stamina to campaign all across the country in the primaries. He will have to and he will have the stamina to campaign all across the country in the general election. Not debating has hurt Trumpie more than it has hurt or could hurt Biden. He says things like this. He's out of control. He's undisciplined. He would get crushed in a debate against Chris Christie or Nikki Haley. He will get crushed by Biden. And he will lose the election, as will other Republicans down ticket.
