AND IT'S FINAL NEW MIAMI (2W) 120 INDIANA 115👏🎉🥳
The "Heat" shot 57.1% and splashed 53.1% from Biscayne Bay.
Tyler Herro led the victors with 29 points, Duncan Robinson was lethal off the bench, 20 pts in 29' on 8/10 (4/6) shooting, Kel'el took care of the glass with 12 in 28', Bam had 18, 7, 7, and 2 in 31', Davion Mitchell led with 8 asts, Alec Burks had 13 in 21' and a game high +12. The spread of contributions shows what positionless ball can be in the hands of its master, Coach Spoelstra.
Spo is a modest man with a Ph.D in hoops. He never claims that he has all the answers or that it's his way or the highway. He tinkers until he gets the machine running as well as it is capable. After Wednesday's comprehensive win over Atl, he commented:
“I’ve mentioned it many times [and he has], who knows what the right decisions are with this team? That’s just the reality. I can’t claim that I’m making the right decisions. But, basically, everybody’s had their opportunities, at some point, wherever we are.
New Miami gets a rare win over a team with a winning record (Indy now 33-25), and the "Heat" rise to 7th in the East, still a daunting 4 full games behind 6th Detroit, creep closer to .500, 28-30, but now a beautiful new dawn appears on the Miami horizon. The tests, and opportunities, keep coming. Manny Hatty comes to Biscayne at sunset Sunday.
There's a new world coming!

Trump sent Zelensky home with no deal and no meal
Trump and his top advisers huddled in the Oval Office after the on-camera shouting match with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday before Trump came to a decision: Zelensky had to go.
Behind the scenes: The delegation from Kyiv waited in another room for about an hour, still hoping to sign the minerals deal that prompted Zelensky's trip and to salvage the visit. Trump and Zelensky were still scheduled to have lunch and hold a joint press conference.
Then Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz "went out of the Oval Office, walked to where Zelensky was sitting, and told him to leave," a senior White House official tells Axios.
"shouting match"--Trump, Vance, Zelensky:
The Ukrainian leader left the White House shortly after Trump shouted at him, showing open disdain. Untouched salad plates and other lunch items were being packed up outside the Cabinet room, where the lunch between Trump and Zelenskyy and their delegations was supposed to have taken place.
The White House said the Ukraine delegation was told to leave.
...
The last 10 minutes of the nearly 45-minute meeting devolved into a tense back and forth between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Zelenskyy, who had urged skepticism about Russia’s commitment to diplomacy, citing Moscow’s years of broken commitments on the global stage.
Zelenskyy’s main objective going into the sit-down had been to press Trump not to abandon his country and to warn against moving too closely to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Instead he got shouted at while Trump appeared to play up the drama for the cameras.
...
Things first got testy after Vance challenged Zelenskyy, telling him, “Mr. President, with respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media.” Zelensky tried to object, prompting Trump to raise his voice and say, “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people.”
At another point, Trump declared himself “in the middle” and not on the side of either Ukraine or Russia in the conflict. He went on to deride Zelenskyy’s “hatred” for Putin as a roadblock to peace.
“You see the hatred he’s got for Putin,” Trump said. “That’s very tough for me to make a deal with that kind of hate.”
...
...Trump and his vice president blasted him as ungrateful...
“It’s going to be a very hard thing to do business like this,” Trump said to Zelenskyy as the two leaders talked over each other about past international support for Ukraine.
Vance then interjected, “Again, just say thank you.”
Zelenskyy pushed back on Vance, telling him he’s offered his appreciation “a lot of times” to the American people and the president. The Ukrainian leader after leaving the White House expressed his gratitude on social media.
“Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit,” Zelenskyy wrote. “Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”
...
Trump seemed pleased that the scene was being recorded on camera. “I think it’s good for the American people to see what’s going on,” he added.
...
Shortly before the meeting ended, Trump said, “This is going to be great television.”
...
“You’re not in a good position. You don’t have the cards right now,” Trump said pointing his finger toward Zelenskyy.
...
European leaders were quick to reiterate their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine.
In a post on X, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Zelenskyy’s “dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people.”
“Be strong, be brave, be fearless,” she added. “You are never alone, dear President.”

Okay, there was MUCH more Weirdness in the Association tonight--and on Monday night
Chronologically, Ice beat "Thunder" 131-128 in OT in OKC. Going into the 4Q The Next Dynasty had a +22 point lead. Talk about a Fourth Quarter El Foldo, OKC led by 24 in the 4th, by 16 with under 4' left (!) and got iced 41-19 to send the game to OT. Where Ice outscored them 10-7 to win the basketball game 131-128.
Now tonight. This is AP's headline:
Thunder bounce back
from stunning collapse
with fourth-quarter blitz
to beat the Nets 129-121
So they RESCUED themselves in the 4Q tonight. Boy, did they! They gave up 76 in the 1H and were down 15. They were still down 6 after 3Q. Then they rolled 18-0 and 27-7 to begin the 4Q, and won the 4th 39-25, and the game.
Pause: There is a bewitching time in the Association. It happens a couple of times a season. OKC has have been bewitched this week. Unpause.
Continuing:
The Zollner Pistons bewitched the Shamrocks tonight in the Palace, 117-97. Z beat World Chambeans by TWENTY.
The "Heat" were bewitched tonight. They DOMINATED a team with a better record, winning every quarter but the 2nd (36-37), scoring 42 points in the 3rd alone, outscoring Atl 66-48 in the 2H, shooting as if they were possessed, making more treys in one game than any Miami "Heat" team ever has but one, and won by a greater margin than any other game this season since Dec. 4 (134-93 over La-La Bron-Bron).
You can't explain these events with reason. This is something beyond human comprehension. And with that, Elles and Gees, tomorrow is a Ew Esse Em Elle Ee day so good night.

Have we shot like this in a game in the last 10.5 years? 59.2% (54.8%). We had four guys, Bam, D-Mitch, Herr-o, and Swish, score 20+ points.
Our two best +/- guys were subs: Hi-Ho, who was getting carbuncles on his ass on the bench for the past month, was high with an astounding +34. Swish was second at +27.
This was unbelievable.
New Miami is now 2-6 since the JBIII trade.
Where is Bam? 16', 6 pts, ZERO rebs, 2, 0, 1, 0, 2 +8
Where is Ware? 17', 4 pts, 5 rebs, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1 -6
We must be getting killed on the glass... We're not 15-17. We are getting killed on points in the paint, 'cause we don't have anybody playing there!, 30-20. Bam ZERO rebs in a half (???).

Team Trump Set to Drop the Hammer on Federal Workforce
They’ve tried asking for volunteers. They’ve tried firing employees still in their probationary periods. They’ve even tried that time-tested tactic used by employers everywhere to make their underlings miserable: Bury them in paperwork about what they did last week.
But President Donald Trump still wants Elon Musk to extract more cuts from the 2.4 million civilian federal workforce. Over the weekend, he told the billionaire Tesla and SpaceX CEO, a “special government employee” overseeing the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, that he needs to get “more aggressive.”
And so today, federal workers got their first look at how — and when — the next hammer will fall.
A joint memo from the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Personnel Management told federal workers where they stand in stark terms.
They are part of a “bloated, corrupt federal bureaucracy,” OMB Director Russ Vought and acting OPM Director Charles Ezell said in the memo. They work for an organization that is “not producing results for the American public,” working on “unproductive and unnecessary programs that benefit radical interest groups while hurting hard-working American citizens.”
And so by March 13, agencies must give the White House detailed plans on which employees will be fired. The starting point will be any federal workers not deemed “essential” during the 2018-2019 government shutdown — that’s about four in 10 federal workers. Anyone not working on a program explicitly authorized by Congress also is endangered.
Tatum O’Neal Is Still Here: The Oscar Winner on Surviving Addiction, a Stroke and Coming to Terms With Being Left Out of Her Father’s Will
However. It is my opinion anway that this roster AS A WHOLE is more talented than the one with JBIII. Say we were a 5 one through fifteen before, we're imo a 5.5 now. The team's recent abysmal form is, again in just my view, down to master tinkerer Spoelstra's working through the best combinations at the right times. I confess that I didn't think that this New Miami would be 1-6 at this point, but I am still convinced that if Spo has this identical roster to open next season that we will be at least to our 10-year average 45-37 record.
But that begs the point. 45-37 is not the goal. What we lack is a superstar to get us out of Middlesbrough. There is no superstar in the making on this roster. We will have to trade for, or sign one as a free agent. Riley has tried. Spiteful Joe Cronin wouldn't trade us Dame. We HAVE to get a superstar to contend for a title.

Takeaways
Heat: Coach Erik Spoelstra continues to tinker with the Heat rotation and hasn't been able to find a winning formula. Miami is 2-6 [1-6] since trading Jimmy Butler to the Warriors on Feb. 5 [Feb. 6].
One might profitably mention New Miami All Star Tyler Herro Here
The Anti-Herro is shooting 3/16 overall and has shot 8 blanks from 23+ feet.
Pigeons 73 Cold 45's 65, end 3Q
Thomas "Magic Mountain" Mann has 12 points as the last Pigeon to fly the coop.
Pigeons Shitting on New Miami 62-49, 7:56, Miami FTO
The "Heat" are not winning anymore.
Not enough "free throws" at the basket. The "Hawks" are soaring 23-22 at the end of the first quarter of play. There are four. Thus "quarters".
Kel'el Ware, 8 in 9', is good at rebounding.
12-10, 6:08 1Q Pigeons Full (mandatory) Roost
The "Heat" are 1-5 since the Jimmy Butler III trade. Guess we have a better shot at winning this one. Atl. doesn't have the talent that Beer has and we had a 14-point lead on them before our El Foldo.
Finishing a game has been impossible for this New Miami. We were outscored by 15 in the 4th by Beer; outscored by 9 in the 2nd half by Ontario State in our only W; by 6 in the 2H by Dallas who didn't have a player over 6' 8" due to injuries; by 32-8 in the 4th in OKC, after leading by 21; by 9 in the 2H in Bang Bus vs Beans; by 31-9 in the 4Q at Rust.
It is not just lack of talent. In the last 10 and a half years Miami has been at a talent disadvantage against every top team. Rather, this has been the mark of Erik Spoelstra teams when he has not settled on the right combos. I fully expect that it will be corrected.
You are what your record says you are and the records say that over the course of the season Miami has been a teeny bit better. Beer was -3.5 last night and I would guess that Atl. is still going to be favored by a smidge, like 1-1.5. Let's see...Yep, "Hawks" -1.5. I predict that we will win tonight

+/-
Not a fan of this metric, but everybody uses it. Second Spectrum and individual teams have fancy-shmancy "advanced" versions of it. I've tried in years past to ignore it, but it ESPN's version is always there in the box score. So, fyi:
Adebay-o 35', -16. Miami was outscored by 16 points when Bam was on the floor. Doesn't matter who he was on the floor with. It could have been LeBron, Luka, SGA and Steph; or Wig-o, Kel'el, D-Mitch and Herr-o, his +/- was -16.
Wig-o 40', -15
Kyle Anderson 9', -11
T-ro 10', -7
D-ro 21', -4
Kel'el 37', -1
D-Mitch 34', +2
Herr-o 40', +7
And the BEST "Heat" player in this game when he was on the floor was!...
Niko 15', +10
FT Beer 120 Cold 45's of Old 113
this was a big game for us. A full week to integrate the newbies, an overtime dub against a bad ontario state team, this was an important measure of where we are. We can't close. Male Deer ran away from us 35-20 4Q. We're 26-29. That's where we are.
"Knicks" cut it to 7 end 3Q but then Beans pulled away, 118-105
The "Knicks" won 50 games last season. With this defeat, their second heavy loss in three days, they are on pace this season to win...53. But they are no closer to a title or even the East crown. They are now 0-7 against the top three teams in the Association, Beans, The Cavalry, The Next Dynasty.
