This star-crossed, incompetent--whatever your explanation--franchise lost again yesterday. They're a perfect 0 and III. That's III times in six years they've started a season 0-III. They haven't even made the playoffs in fifteen years. That's hard to do even if you try. They are tied for the fourth all-time piss poor win percentage among current (32!) NFL teams.
Sunday will see an epic battle, the Futility Bowl. The 0-3 "Jets" at the 0-3 "Dolphins". Miami head coach Mike McDaniels' future likely rests on the outcome of that game. After all, if you lose to the "Jets"???

Tragedy
What was shaping up as a stand-out season in central New York has turned to tragedy. Syracuse star QB Steve Angeli went down in a no-contact play yesterday at Clemson. No-contact injuries are often the worst and today it was confirmed: Angeli tore his Achilles tendon. He is done for the year.

The Embarrassment
Bill Belichick is 73 years old. He can't coach anymore. He seems not all there. "Creepy and weird. Something’s wrong with that guy," a fan wrote on social media. The fan was commenting on Belichick' on-field, off-field relationship with his 24-year old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. For it is clear that this is a female-led relationship.
Hudson cut off an interview of Belichick. She has been on the sidelines with Belichick, conversing with him--the fucking HEAD COACH--throughout his short (already too longgg) tenure at North Carolina-Belichick.
If the University of North Carolina was shameable, if it was capable of embarrassment, if it cared about its reputation, if it was remotely aware that big-time college athletics are "the front porch" of its presentment to the public--hell, if they even cared about wins and losses!--they would put this non compos mentis old

Schadenfreude Saturday started a day early.

A half-hour later, in front of a sold-out Shi'a Stadium in Piscataway, the b1gest B1G game of Greg Schiano Parte Deux started. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh OH! Iowa ran the opening kick back 104 yards untouched by any Scarlet Pimpernel. But in a twist, the Red Coats recovered, and more. Yeah, really! They led 28-24 five mins into the 4th quarter. Birds of Prey scored tyoo touchdowns in the last five minutes sending 56,000 Shi'ites home red-faced agayne.
A kick-start to another Schadenfreude Saturday. Who will it be today? Will Meeshagan break "Husker" hearts in Lincoln? Will a green wave wash over Oxford, Mississippi? Will the "Hurricanes" taper off to zephyrs against Billy Nap's Army in Miami Gardens? Will unbeaten East Lansing Spartak march into the Los Angeles Coliseum and defeat the no. 25, 19.5 favored Men of Troy?

Tyler Herro Ankle Surgery, Out Two Months
I'm sorry for Tyler. The club is well-positioned to be without him. Tyler is also up for a contract extension in October. If extended to the max, the org. would be severely compromised in improving the roster. I am on the player's side in these things. I hope Tyler gets the full extension, but I doubt that he will now.

That is 100% accurate. Tua "stared down" his intended target, telegraphing the throw air mail. The result of a college freshman mistake in the NFL, is foregone.
