"Is this the one...?" I always get A Farewell to Arms confused with For Whom the Bell Tolls. I'm more than half-way through Farewell and as I have read the story develop I have asked myself "Is this the one that ends that way?" So I peaked ahead to the last page just now. Yes, it is. I thought it was Bell and I would be spared. Nope.
