The Least got the less tonight. In E-W matchups, Pebbles beat Diz, D (11-17) edged Z (Conf. leader 21-6), Tottenham squished the Lizards. God Bless Queens. Chazz are 2W after buzzing off the Pigeons. Second-place Mamdani City held off the Yellow Basketball Team (6-21) in a perennial grudge match 114-113. Ontario State (17-11) won in Beer (11-17) 111-105, increasing, perhaps, the wandering eye of Giannis Antetokounmpo for more fecund places to mine diamond-studded championship rings.
Out Best, Oklahoma City (25-2) somehow recovered from a 10-2 hole to blast La-La Har-Har (6-21) 122-101 in the Oil Patch. The Fat Thot Fuckers (6-22), with Himself coming off the bench, upset H-Town (16-8) 133-128 in OT. The Peaceniks (13-15) continue to underachieve. Tonight with their big three and sparkly supporting cast healthy and available, they were blotted out by the "Suns" (15-12) 99-98 in the Desert. Rebuilding Utah (10-16) lost in Salt Lake to the La-La Purple and Gold (19-7) 143-135. And finally (full slate tonight), Portlandia (11-16) edged Sac Town (6-21, but one of those six an emphatic beatdown in the Bus of the 45's) 134-133 in OT. Pause: Imagine the energy grid overload caused by every TV from northern Cali to Starbucks being tuned to that compelling contest.
In the middle of the night on December 19 the Least standings are as follows:

9. Pigeons -6.5 (identical record to Sensitives, lose some tie-breaker, maybe head to head)
10. Male Cows -9.5_______Play-in___________
At this particular moment in the rent fabric of space-time there are two Least contenders followed by seven teams with pathetically mediocre W/L records, and then there's Male Cows and Male Deer -1.5 contesting the last (10th) spot in the play-in. I like Diz slotted in as one of the first round home teams (seeds 1-4). If the Seven Foot Sixers actually get healthy (the proverbial "big If") of course they are a shoe-in for home court and could win the Conference. I love Beans' heart and grit this season. I don't know about Ontario State. I would favor Beans over them for the higher seed. Is Sensitive City really this mediocre? You are what your record says you are. I tell you, if this piss poor form continues to game 41, the half-way mark of the season, I look for Kenny...what the fuck's his...Atkinson to get fired for the second half stretch. The 45's are right where they have been the last few seasons, in the play-in. I think Male Cows are going to lose out to Beer unless of course Beer trade Giannis.
