Foreign policy

Talarico supports a two-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He has condemned what he called Israel's "atrocities in Palestine" and "war crimes" and has criticized its role in the Gaza Strip famine. He opposes offensive U.S. aid to Israel and supports banning the sale of offensive weapons to Israel. Talarico is a critic of the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC. He criticized Democrats for supporting Israel's war in Gaza during the 2024 presidential election. He called the war "the moral test of our time".

That is important and personal for me. I have called Israeli genocide "the defining issue of our time" and have been mocked and scorned by Jewish Democrats.

President Donald Trump continues his extraordinary 2026 winning streak, and his iron hold on the Grand Old Phascist Party. Sen. Cornyn ran afoul of Trump in 2024 for not endorsing him until after the New Hampshire primary. Trump endorsed Paxton just last Monday. Paxton is the most controversial nominee since Roy Moore in Alabama. 

This result therefore also then represents Democrats' best chance to flip a Senate seat. State Rep. James Talarico has polled very strongly against both Cornyn and Paxton.
