China's Great Wall of Silence

Below are the links to two valuable American-based websites on China. The first is self-explanatory http://www.thechinabeat.org/.

The second http://www.wellesley.edu/Polisci/wj/China1972/main.html is the creation of William Joseph a professor of political science at Wellesley. Professor Joseph is publishing hundreds of photographs taken by him and other members of the Committee of Concerned Asian Scholars (CCAS) in China in 1972 at the height of the Cultural Revolution. This rare visit from the outside was made possible because of CCAS's sympathies with the Maoist dictatorship.
