Both Erdely and Pressler were educated in Pennsylvania, Erdely at Penn--where the Jerry Sandusky rapes happened according to Maureen Dowd--and Pressler at Temple University. It's even worse than that. Stephen Glass, The New Republic's writer of fiction masquerading as non-fiction also went to Penn and was a classmate of Ruby's. They both worked together at the school newspaper.
