That is what he did. He's not planting the flag. He's looking. Woulda pissed me off. Maybe the clouds disappeared. Maybe this is the Morning Mist or something. It does look like it could be mist or fog that would "burn off" as the sun rose.

Man, he is up there. Way above the mountains in the foreground. Way above the clouds.

Personally I've never climbed a mountain in a skirt. Never climbed a mountain in jeans or whatever, frigging mountain climbing pants whatever. Never climbed a mountain. Off his experience with the clouds I don't want to. I would really hate to climb all the way up a mountain for the view only to have clouds fuck-ed-me-upp-ed. Maybe he wanted to look at the clouds. Hadn't thought about that. Maybe he wanted to be able to say "I've looked at clouds from both sides now." Maybe he wanted to sing that and have it be true I don't know why didn't he just take a plane ride huh? i guess they didn't have planes back then ive seen clouds from both sides from up and down in a plane its nice nothing id want to get my skirt soiled or torn climbing a damn mountain for though whatever its his life hope you enjoyed it chump.
