That thing just does not look real. And I know it is! It looks like the Emerald City from afar or some structure the sci fi writers imagine we will find on an alien planet inhabited by impossibly superior intelligent life. It is jaw-dropping, dumb-striking, awe-inspiring.
The University of Pittsburgh is the 30th wealthiest university in the WORLD. Not America! The WORLD! Universities in America, Japan, from which some of these photographs come, Saudi Arabia!, got a few shekels in Saudi Arabia, Merry Old', Old Europe, there are some rich cat universities on the Third Rock. Pitt is 30th. I have been to Harvard, to M.I.T. I have been to the University of Chicago. They-have-NOTHING like the Cathedral of Learning.
