Baton Rouge Girl


Oh my. What a tremendous photograph. A slight female protester about to be arrested. Here's another one:
Stoic, standing upright, back straight. Facing the arresting officers in full-body gear and a phalanx behind them. The flowing dress. The flowing dress adds something. As if she was delivered there as a goddess or something. Like the Statue of Liberty. Reminds me of a couple other images. First to my mind was:



Then:
"Chairman Mao Goes to Anyuan." Just because of the flowing scholar's gown and because he seems to have just alit from heaven.

Then, "Tanneryville Girl":
Because of a girl's vulnerability against force.
