Day 7

Ukraine still lives, if its life is more dire. The mayor of Kherson said his city will “perish” without help. Russia is adopting siege tactics: surround, bombard, starve. Break outs? Ease the pressure by counter attacking in the eastern “independent” provinces? Something. Guerilla harassment of supply lines? Wouldn't IED's have been the perfect way to attack the Russian convoy? Is not an army sitting in siege also an army of sitting ducks to attack? I am a fanatic of boomerang tactics: take your enemy's strongest throw and pitch it back at him with renewed force. In this case, "You're going to siege us? Guess what? We're in our own country. We're going to siege your army. You are the aliens here, far from home, isolated and running low on supplies." Surround the Russian army. If Ukrainians hunker down in Kyiv and Kharkiv they are making their own strangulation easier.

I am haunted by the maps shown late last night. It looks more “hopeless” per Macgregor and not like the Russian army is taking a beating per Griffin.
