Speaking of tech's, the head of the Premier League referees group called Everton to apologize for the no-call on Rodrigo over the weekend. It was a handball but the on-field ref wasn't "sighted", which is mother-speak for "didn't see it" and the VAR ref said it was inconclusive. It was pretty conclusive. That's why there is VAR and for the system not to be able to correct a clear error is awful. It's a shame. I don't like to win that way and I especially don't like Everton to lose that way. That "unsighted" call could get them relegated, that is how costly a refereeing error it was. They're 17th, one point up from the drop zone. They do have one game in hand on 18th Burnley and two on 'Arry the Elk 'Ornet and the Tweety Birds.
